The Manor House North Wing
Shore Hall is a 16th-century manor house nestled into 22 acres of bucolic English countryside with a shared outdoor heated pool and tennis court. Easily accessible to London and airports, this tranquil estate will give you a peaceful retreat like no other.
The North Wing of the historic Manor House includes a grand lounge with a wood burning stove, enormous windows, soaring ceilings, and exposed beams. The two bedrooms are impressively spacious and thoughtfully designed featuring luxury linens.

Shore Hall, originally known as Wood Hall or Woodhall, dates from the late 16th Century, and like many buildings of this period, has been remodeled and extended over centuries to provide the exquisite family home it is today.
The North Wing's private entrance welcomes you into a beautifully designed kitchen featuring a Rangemaster oven, Fisher Paykel refrigerator and stunning views of the gardens, historic clocktower, and pond.
Every room has its own distinct character and style, all sharing the same commitment to beautiful details, exceptional comfort, and an outstanding guest experience.
The North Wing's lounge is a sun-filled converted ancient barn, featuring historic exposed beams, soaring ceilings, enormous windows, and a grand fireplace with a wood-burning stove. Our banquet table stands at one end with seating for 10, while our cozy seating area offers a comfortable and stylish seating area for gatherings around the fire.

















Bedrooms
The two bedrooms in the North Wing are impressively spacious and thoughtfully designed, each featuring luxury bed and bath linens carefully selected to ensure a restful night’s sleep.












Boudica’s Haven is a stunning master suite with a king size bed and a full private bathroom including a vintage clawfoot tub and a fabulous shower, offering a gorgeous, indulgent retreat











Green Gables is a generously sized space that can comfortably accommodate up to five guests, with a stunning bathroom and additional WC. Both en suite bathrooms are beautifully designed, distinctively curated, and recently updated.
The Grounds
The grounds surrounding the cottage include a pool heated with solar electricity, tennis courts, a summerhouse, and 22 acres of stunning gardens, orchards, topiary, and paddocks with peacefully grazing sheep and horses.
While you will feel you are in the middle of nowhere, the lovely village of Finchingfield, known as England’s most photographed village, is just down the road. The cottage is also situated 25 minutes from historic Saffron Walden and 45 minutes from Cambridge. Trains run regularly from London’s Liverpool Street Station and Tottenham Hale, with a 50-minute journey through idyllic countryside, arriving at the charming Audley End train station.
